Job Summary

Taasisi ya Uongozi is seeking a dedicated Capacity Development Officer to support leadership and professional development initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in training program coordination, needs assessment, and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather data from Training Needs Assessments (TNA) for program reporting.
• Collect and analyze information for the development of leadership training methodologies.
• Complete and interpret TNA forms to assess capacity-building requirements.
• Prepare and organize training materials (both digital and print) for effective program delivery.
• Manage participant registration and oversee logistical arrangements for training sessions.
• Develop and maintain training schedules and calendars.
• Prepare budget proposals for scheduled programs and submit them for approval.
• Draft correspondence, including letters and budget documents, for clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in venue selection, procurement, and logistical arrangements for training programs.
• Liaise with consultants and resource persons regarding engagement levels and session schedules.
• Coordinate the compensation process for resource persons as per contractual agreements.
• Maintain and update electronic and physical databases of resource personnel.
• Provide on-site support to consultants and trainers during program delivery.
• Draft program reports in alignment with the institute’s reporting standards.
• Assist in conducting assessments, surveys, and analyses on leadership capacity challenges for program enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Political Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years of experience in adult education, learning and development, or a related field.
